"Sir, we wish to see Jesus." -The Greeks (John 12:20-21)
Updated: Sep 5, 2019
Jesus is...? What is the first thing that comes to mind when asked to fill in that blank? The search for who Jesus is has boggled the minds of devout Christians, atheists, theologians, biblical historians, and common searchers for centuries. There have been countless books, articles, studies, seminars, and movies dealing with the subject. Simply put, Jesus is complex, but there is a danger in over complicating Jesus, just as there is in over simplifying him.
This Fall on Wednesday nights, the youth class will be answering several questions about who Jesus is, and by extension, who he is not. Our primary resource will be the Holy word of God. We are going to dive deep into what the biblical writers have to say about Jesus, and what Jesus has to say about himself. We will also take a look at what some other (non-canonical) historical writers have to say about who Jesus is, what he did, and the response of those living in that time.
Some of the topics include:
Jesus is the Word
Jesus was a Carpenter
Jesus is Real
Jesus was Just Like Us
and many others!
Join us on this journey this Fall!
